The Area

Ardvreck House sits just above Loch Broom, a short distance from the village of Ullapool in the North West Highlands.

The setting is quiet and slightly removed, with open views across the water and towards the surrounding mountains.

Days here are often best spent simply exploring — walking, driving, or following the shoreline and seeing where it leads.

A few places we particularly recommend:

Corrieshalloch Gorge
A dramatic wooded gorge with a short walk leading to a suspension bridge above the falls.

Achmelvich Beach
A wide, white-sand beach with clear water, set along the coastal road north of Ullapool.

Ardmair Bay
Closer to the house, with open views across the water and a gentle shoreline walk.

Stac Pollaidh
A well-known hill with a relatively short but rewarding climb, offering expansive views across the Highlands.
